Our next auditions will be held in September – November 2010, for entry into the choir in 2011. At an audition the child will be asked to sing a song of their own choice, for which a pianist will be provided. We would prefer it if the song were from memory. He or she will be asked to sing some scales and some aural tests together with a short sight-reading piece.

It is not expected that the child will necessarily be able to sing at sight very well, as this is one of the aspects of teaching offered on the courses; however it is important that the applicant has a natural musical ability.

Application forms can be downloaded here or obtained by emailing the administrator.

Completed forms should be submitted with:

1. A letter of recommendation from your child’s Choir Director, Head Teacher or Singing Teacher
2. A passport size photograph (name on reverse, please)
3. Audition and registration fee of £35 – cheques payable to the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain
4. Stamped self-addressed envelope
