Katie Alder
Katie began singing at a young age, before refining her style to specialise in choral singing and discovering a particular affinity with Early, Baroque and Classical music. She joined the Winchester Cathedral Girls’ Choir in 2003 and was appointed Deputy Head Chorister between 2006 and 2007. She has sung with several choirs to date, including various European tours, recording and broadcasting with the Winchester Cathedral Choir and Eton Choral courses. Currently studying Music at the University of Chichester, she is a member of various university chamber groups. After working with the Hampshire County Children’s Choir from 2008-2009, Katie has been teaching singing on the National Children’s Choir courses since Easter 2009. She regularly sings solo and with choirs at Winchester and Chichester Cathedrals and surrounding churches.
