YiRu Hall
YiRu Hall was educated at Manchester High School for Girls, and at the age of 16 started singing with the Hallé Choir, performing regularly at The Bridgewater Hall with the Hallé Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic.
After gaining a Choral Exhibition to Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, she studied Music (and met her husband David). YiRu is Head of Academic Music at The Portsmouth Grammar School where she directs a school choir, the orchestra and in her spare time is an A Level examiner. She also continues to work as a soloist in the Hampshire area.
YiRu has worked with the National Children’s Choir of Great Britain since 2007, and is currently Assistant Conductor of the Training Choir.
