We are excited to welcome Dan Ludford-Thomas to his post his NCCGB Musical Director. Dan enjoys a busy schedule as a conductor, chorus master and singing teacher in London. He directs a wide variety of choirs from professional ensembles, church choirs, chamber choirs and large symphonic choruses. He performs regularly in major concert venues across the country including Birmingham Symphony Hall and The Royal Albert Hall.

He is currently Head of Vocal Studies at Dulwich College, Musical Director of The Hackney Singers, Director of Music of Lewisham Choral Society, Musical Director of Concordia Chamber Choir.

Dan joined the NCCGB staff in 2012, conducting both the Senior and the Tour Choirs, and he is fully engaged with the choir’s ethos. His aim is that the courses will continue to be infused with enthusiasm, and that choir members will be given every opportunity to realise their ambitions. He is looking forward to raising NCCGB’s national profile and to developing its vocal philosophy.
