  • The National Children’s Choir of GB is the PMLL Choir of the Year - We are delighted to have been awarded the title of PMLL Choir of the Year for 2022. This award topped off a successful year for NCCGB and we are proud to have been recognised by PMLL (Printed Music Licensing Ltd).   • The NCCGB  Introduction to Choral Conducting Programme - The programme offers an opportunity for musicians with an interest in conducting a children’s choir to attend a residential course and observe professionals with a wide range of experience in this field. This involves being in a stimulating, creative environment, with talented children from throughout the UK who are highly motivated and enthusiastic.  The choir’s repertoire covers a wide variety of genres, both sacred and secular.   • Easter course recordings - Like many other organisations, the pandemic forced us to move our Easter 2021 course online. Our staff and choristers more than rose to the challenge and we had a really successful week, with a lot of fun and music making. We enjoyed a mixture of choir rehearsals, singing lessons and recreation sessions. We continued with some of our NCC traditions, such as Film Night, the NCC Quiz and our Cabaret night and our Junior Choirs worked hard to earn family points across the week.   • Release of 2019 recording of The Girl from Aleppo - We are very excited to announce that our 2019 recording of The Girl from Aleppo will be released by Convivium Records on 1st May. We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to participate in such an exciting project and to have had the chance to perform such a beautiful piece of music. The cantata The Girl from Aleppo, was commissioned by NCCGB to mark the occasion of our 20th Anniversary in 2018 and had its premiere at  Birmingham Town Hall on 10th August, 2018.   • NCCGB 2019 Recording - During our Summer Course this year we recorded a number of items for our forthcoming CD. Once again we enjoyed working with Jon Cohen, the producer, and were delighted to welcome back Cecilia McDowall (composer) and Harriet Mackenzie (violinist) for their input when we recorded Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo, the piece commissioned from Cecilia for our 20th Anniversary celebrations last year.
