Summer Concert – Saturday 8th August, 3.30pm Great Hall, University of Birmingham.
I hope that you have been able to buy your tickets for our public concert – all details were in my previous newsletter in May and email prior to that.
Tickets can be purchased here…
It is not possible to buy or reserve tickets through NCCGB, all ticket sales are being dealt with by the University Box Office. I recommend that you book tickets as soon as possible if you have not done so, in order to avoid disappointment.
We will travel by coach to the University on 8th August, and spend the day rehearsing there, ahead of the concert at 3.30pm. The concert is due to finish around 5.30pm.
The children will bring their luggage with them and we will not be returning to Bromsgrove School afterwards. You will be able to collect your children from the Great Hall after the concert.
We have a lot of children to sign out and will do this by choir to make the process as efficient as possible. Please bear in mind when booking any transport that we cannot guarantee an exact time that the children will be able to leave.
There is information on getting to the University here…
The Great Hall is on the Edgbaston Campus, in the Aston Webb area, in red on the campus map. It is directly opposite Old Joe, the clock tower.
The University has its own train station, which is only 5 minutes from Birmingham New Street and then a 5-10 minute walk to the Great Hall.
There is also plenty of parking on site, including the North East car park on Pritchatts Park Road which is a multi-storey car park. This is in green on the campus map.
Concert uniform
Please ensure that your child has the correct uniform for the concert. They may not be able to participate in the concert if they do not have the right uniform.
All choirs will be wearing their choir T-shirt, that was given out at Easter – please ensure that they bring this with them. We will not have enough spares for everyone. If your child did not attend at Easter, we will give them their T-shirt at the summer course.
Smart black trousers (please note that skirts are not part of the uniform)

The standard balance payment is £412.50.

Summer cabaret
If your child would like to perform in the cabaret, please complete the form here… by Friday 3rd July. We have limited spaces as we are constrained by time, and we also aim to achieve an even balance across all the choirs. I will contact you to confirm if your child has a place once the music team have worked out the programme.
